Canadian Music
I'd like to share some tunes by Canadian bands that you guys might not have heard before. The videos mostly suck (don't they all?) but it's about the music anyway. I hope you guys hear something you like.
So first up is Metric. A sort of art house/ power pop band. They've played all over the world and have opened for the Stones among others. These are very accomplished musicians and it shows. I chose 'empty' because it has dancing puppets in the video...and it's a cool tune. Watch your speakers at about the 2 minute mark.
more to follow - many genre's - something for all.

Re: Canadian Music
Next up is the duo USS (Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker) performing Hollowpoint Sniper Hyperbole. USS is a guitarist and a dj. Lots of sampling.
This tune is getting massive airplay here in Canada. It's huge in the clubs.
enjoy...

today's offering
The Tragically Hip are about as Canadian as it gets. They are musical icons here. Pure bar band rock...but with lyrics that tell a story...usually a weird or disturbing one. As you'll see, the singer Gord Downie is a bit...odd. This video has about 50 live cats in it. It's called, "poets".

Todays band: I Mother Earth
Sadly, this band is no longer together. This tune is all about the guitar. A mellow, seven minute journey with a slight jazz feel. If you like guitar, you'll really appreciate this song. The video is a fan made one. I wanted the extended mix so...enjoy.

Kittie
Kittie...An all girl metal band who thought the name "Pussy" was too obvious. This is an older video, at the time the oldest member was 17...the singer, 15...they are awful yet amazing at the same time. The drummer however is awesome. Like wrestling, you either get it or you don't.
